Louise Leads Unique State-of-the-Angst Bolton Art Extravaganza

From Iconic to Chronic…Showing How It Is

For six crazy sessions, Louise has been leading a unique art project in Bolton with people attached to the B-Nice foodbank and charity. They explored the town's current existence by creating popping, fizzing artworks based on a new Bolton palette of colours — from Demolition Gates Green to Winter Hill Fires Orange.

Along the way there were art prints taken from Bolton grids, poignant prose and loads more, as the verdict for Bolton was ‘From iconic to chronic…what happened?…But it's home…’

These state-of-the-angst artworks from people experiencing the very edges of the town's zeitgeist will go on display for a few hours only in the pop-up gallery at a huge charity shop…

“It was wonderful to work with these incredible people on such a challenging subject and in such a creative way. I really hope these paintings start a dialogue about the future of Bolton.”
