Louise Creates Huge Birmingham Mural

Co-creating artists, Louise Garman and Andy Smith were commissioned to paint a stunning mural depicting the four seasons of Swanshurst Park in Birmingham, complete with local wildlife and eye-popping backgrounds.

The mural was commissioned by Friends of Swanshurst Park, to transform a huge, cornered wall around 250 feet long that backs onto Billesley Fire Station.

It was the fourth commission the artist pair have received in Birmingham, bringing back to colourful life everything from Telecom boxes to bridges and derelict walls.

"This commission was a massive undertaking, the biggest I've ever done, with the sheer scale of the wall quite daunting at first"

says Louise. "However, we dreamt a solution which we're really proud of, and, judging by the reactions of local people, it was very well received indeed."
