(Dis)regard – an exhibition exploring the overlooked at Vernon Park Art Gallery from 24th August to 22nd September

Louise is collaborating with two other artists, Sandra Bouguerch and Paula Fenwick Lucas , for the forthcoming (Dis)regard exhibition at Vernon Park Art Gallery from 24th August to 22nd September 10am-4pm daily.

Louise will be exhibiting uncompromising, experimental multi-media images with the volume turned up to the max. Post-apocalyptic dreams and nightmares.

The works will deal with discarded objects found on solitary walks…bird’s nests, sleeping tablets, a child’s mitten, nitrous oxide canisters…

Also, abandoned and neglected secret places like the ageing Dungeness nuclear power station on the south Kent coast, Saddleworth Moor in the Peak District, and areas within the city of Salford, Greater Manchester. She will contrast opposites like ugliness and beauty, life and death, black and white, harsh and tender. Both regarded and disregarded. And then some…
